PARASITE STATEMENT
Date: 22/01/2018
We at Grants Smokehouse, hereby confirm that all the shipments of smoked
salmon, both Norwegian and Scottish Style & incorporating the Ballentyne label,
were harvested, handled, processed, hygienically stored and delivered in
compliance with United Kingdom Food Agency export regulations.
The frozen salmon has been stored at -20oC or below for greater than 7 days
prior to the date of shipping despatch. This is the recommended freezing time for
destruction of parasites. The raw material has been produced in a certified
establishment, European registration number UK AE 006.
The product was processed in accordance to the international HACCP rules and in
compliance with regulations of the United Kingdom, the European Union and the
FDA.
The product has been sourced from a registered aquaculture farm under the
supervision of the designated local competent authority. The product does not
contain parasites, pathogenic microbes or toxins, or heavy metal levels which are
harmful to human health. The product does not contain residue or hormones at
levels that are harmful to human health or toxic substances. The product has
been farm raised, fed pellets at regularly scheduled times throughout the day by
an automatic feed spreader. Employees monitor the feeding to ensure that the
fish are neither over nor under fed, ensuring that the immune response system of
the fish offers the maximum possible defense against pathogens
The product is acceptable for human consumption.
